Consultations with a qualified Australian GP.

Whether you are exploring an assessment for the first time or already have a diagnosis, each consultation is a real-time conversation about your history and how things affect you day to day.

  • ADHD assessment
  • Treatment review
  • Ongoing care
  • Referral and coordination

Where to start

Where are you starting from?

Everyone arrives with a different story. Choose the one closest to yours and we will show you the most relevant consultation.

Consultation types

Four ways we can help.

ADHD Assessment

A structured consultation about your history, daily function and what an assessment involves.

Your GP will talk with you about your history from childhood to now, how things show up at work, study, home and in relationships, and whether anything else could explain what you are experiencing. An assessment may take more than one consultation.

  • Your developmental and personal history
  • How things affect you day to day
  • Other possible explanations
  • What happens next

Treatment Review

Reviewing how your current management is working, with your GP.

If you already have an ADHD diagnosis, your GP can review how your current approach is working for you, talk through anything that has changed, and discuss whether any adjustments are appropriate for your circumstances.

  • Your existing diagnosis and reports
  • How your current approach is going
  • Any changes in your health
  • Options to discuss with your GP

Ongoing Care

Scheduled follow-up consultations and monitoring over time.

Regular follow-up consultations give you and your GP time to check in, monitor how you are going and adjust your plan where it is appropriate. Follow-ups are also real-time conversations, never a form on its own.

  • Scheduled check-ins
  • Monitoring over time
  • Reviewing your plan together
  • Time for your questions

Referral & Coordination

Referral to other services and coordination with your existing care, with your consent.

Some people benefit from input from other health professionals. Where it is appropriate, your GP can refer you to other services and, with your consent, keep your regular GP or care team informed.

  • Referral to other services where appropriate
  • Sharing information with your consent
  • Coordination with your regular GP
  • Support with paperwork and reports

Coordinated care

Care that works alongside your regular GP, not instead of them.

With your consent, we can share a summary of your consultation with your regular GP and other people involved in your care, so everyone is working from the same picture. You stay in control of who we talk to.

Questions

About consultations.

Not sure which consultation to book? Ask our team.

Do I need a referral?

No referral is needed to book a consultation. If you have reports or letters from other health professionals, it helps to have them ready.

Can I change consultation type later?

Yes. Your GP will recommend what is appropriate as they get to know your circumstances, which may be a different type of consultation from the one you first booked.

I was diagnosed overseas. Can you help?

Possibly. Your GP will look at your existing reports and talk through what is appropriate in Australia. Further assessment or a referral may be recommended.

Are consultations confidential?

Yes. Your information is handled in line with Australian privacy law and our privacy policy, and is only shared with your consent or where the law requires it.
